Annual landing (tons) of Sardinella and fishing effort for the small-scale fishery in Senegal from 1981 to 2013. Landing of Sardinella aurita (blue line with lozenges) and S. maderensis (gray line with squares) and fishing effort (red line with circles) were extracted from the CRODT database. The number of canoes for 1982, 1997, 2003, 2004 and 2006 were obtained from the FAO (2008) and for 2013 from Belhabib et al. (2014).
