Daily maps of potential fishing areas (PFA) showing in orange and red the regions where the daily oceanographic conditions during 9–12 July 2015 corresponded to higher catches of sardine (top) and chub mackerel (bottom) for the WAOI, based on the bivariate SST–Chl-a catch distributions in Figure 4a and b. Chl-a concentrations as colour shadings and SST as isothermals (in °C).
