The exponent number is the q order 0, 1, or 2, which corresponds to the richness, exponential of the Shannon entropy index, and the inverse Simpson concentration index, respectively. Obs and sam indices correspond to estimates based on observed or standardized samples, respectively. May, Sept, and year indices correspond to estimates based on May or September sampling and the sum of both, respectively. Alpha (α) and gamma (γ) indices correspond to pond/pond design and overall facility-level diversity estimates, respectively. Mean sam°Dα year is shown ± 1 standard error (SE). Numbers in parentheses indicate family richness. Letters in exponent show significantly different groups of pond designs after Tukey post-hoc tests.
