Oyster shell buried in an estuary bank Lawrenny (site 12 in Fig. 1), from a historical oyster pickling station (2021). Pickled oysters were a valuable product in the 1700–1800's, and facilitated trade to other parts of Wales, England and outside the UK (Fenton, 1810).
