Special Issue “Fish Stock Assessments using Surveys and Indicators” Guest Editors: Pierre Petitgas, John Cotter, Verena Trenkel, Benoît Mesnil These papers present methodology for single-species stock assessments and management strategies using only fishery-independent information from research surveys. Examples to illustrate the use of methods are also provided. For some papers, scripts in the R language are attached online. Three complementary approaches are considered: monitoring procedures based on indicators, assessment models, and simulation evaluation tools. The methods, presented in this special issue, use a broad range of biological information and are also of interest for ecosystem monitoring and assessment. To order
